Cheap flights and travel info

Home

Finding cheap flights to start your travels is not all that easy these days. After taxes and fuel prices are added on top of your initial offer you might choose to stay at home after all in some cases.

Being flexible helps. Avoiding peak times such as summer and Christmas holidays gives you a better chance of obtaining a fair deal.

Last minute flights can be found in many magazine adds and on the internet. Sometimes good deals can be found this way but it can be hard finding your destination among the offers.

Local budget airlines operate in many places now such as Easy Jet and Ryan Air in Europe, Virgin Blue and Jet Air in Australia just to name a few. Booking a flight on-line with these companies can save you a bundle compared to booking the same itinerary with a travel agent overseas.

Bucket shops in places where lots of travellers roam can be useful too, however they do not usually book the online cheap ones.

Round the world tickets (RTW) can be a very good deal. These can usually only be obtained from travel agents. Airline alliances can offer interesting combinations to get you around the globe combining several continents for as little as U$ 2000,-

Be careful what you get as some cheap deals are very inflexible. No changes, no refunds when you have to cancel etc. ; ask before you pay.
