a series of travel images from Mexico, San Cristobal de las Casas, a medium sized town in Chiapas state in the southeast of Mexico. The town abounds with pretty colonial buildings and the local people are descendants of the Maya (Tzotzil Maya people). They have made it their trade to preserve their traditions, specialising in weaving colourful traditional textiles. Lively markets in San Cristobal and San Juan Chamula lure many travellers to this region. We also make a trip to the Lagunas de Montebello National Park, near the border with Guatemala.
